With the surge in facebook users, both for personal use and business, there are more and more reasons to add sharing / networking tools to your website. Firstly it allows users to promote your page without you having to do anything, this will naturally enhance your profile. Secondly it will allow people to keep up to date on information posted on facebook via possible feeds from your own website, so that when you update your 'blog' the facebook page will update automatically with the content.

Social plugins let you see what your friends have liked, commented on or shared on sites across the web. All social plugins are extensions of Facebook and are specifically designed so none of your data is shared with the sites on which they appear. You can add these by simply adding the code into your  website via your content management software (if this allows for code) or alternatively you can contact your website provider who will also be able to add this for you.
