Spam Filtering

All Incoming mail is subject to spam filtering but still let through as occasionally the spam filter will deem genuine mail as spam.

Anything which is suspected as being spam is marked with the heading *****SPAM**** you can create a mail rule in your emial prgram to send any mail which includes this in the email subject straight to your junk mail

You should still check your junk mail folder on a daily basis to ensure ni genuine mail has been sent there.

Mail Anti Virus Scanning

All incominng and outgoing mail is scanned for viruses.  We still advise that you should not open any attachment that comes form a source you do not recognise especially files with extensions such as .exe. or .zip.

Net Intelect will never request any details for your web accounts or any other personal details via email or request you to click any link to perform system updates. Please if you receive any such email report it to us immediately! Be aware that an emails sent address can be faked so even though it says it is from a specific sender it may not be!

Currently known phishing or email viruses that are prolific include emails regards the following:

• DHL failed delivery
• IRS Tax Return
• HM Revenue and Customs
• System Server Updates
• All Bank type emails - Lloyds, HSBC, NatWest - No bank will ever request accout details or login details via email
