1. I cant find my web site on Google

If your site has only recently gone live this is probably right. The reason is that we will only submit a website to a search engine once it is complete and it can take 2-3 weeks sometimes longer for a search engine to find and rank your pages as Google etc will 'spider' or 'crawl' billions of pages a day. It does not update in real time and your site may only be visited by the 'Googlebot' or search program a few times a month. We have no control over this timescale please be patient, you will certainly appear on all the major serach engines and even some smaller ones.

2. Im not number one on Google for ....

Search Engine Optimisation is a service in itself, and is a very time consuming process of marketing your website, we do not work for Google etc and have no control over how they decide to rank your site. This is largely down to your page content so well written content can result in a high ranking site. We do not write content for sites, this must be supplied by the client.

We provide FREE BASIC SEO on all web packages in that we will add the relevant metatags and keyphrases and keywords to your web site and ensure it is constructed in the proper way.

Please understand that designing a web site and marketing a web site are two separate services. The cost of your web site, a so called SEO company would charge many times that for very little work in many cases to provide and keep a ranking. If they do it properly this is a monthly process.

3. Im no longer number one on Google for ....

Please see above, if you did rank well for something this was done at no cost at the time, rankings change as others change their sites.

4. I would like to improve my website ranking

This can be done by yourself for no cost but it can be tie consuming so patience is a virtue...

CONTENT IS KEY:

This can be done by writing more content or better content, you may benefit from a web blog which allows you to write large amounts of content very easily and provide news and other posts and information in an easily searchable way.

INCREASE LINK POPULARITY:

The more links your site has fro others to it defines this.

Trade reciprocal links - that means get others to link to you in return for a link back

ADD YOURSELF TO FREE DIRECTORIES:

Getting inbound links to your site on others can help, you can add yourself to free online business directories like freeindex.co.uk which is one of the biggest and ranks very well indeed, type free business directory into google and you will come up with thousands of sites which allow yuo to create a profile and add a link to your site.

ADD YOURSELF TO PAID DIRECTORIES:

We don't usually advise this as often the outlaid cost can be unfruitful so far as return on Investment Goes. Only the ones which come up for the phrases you want to! For hotels this can be important as the web is a saturated market for such businesses. Sites like www.booking.com and www.laterooms.co.uk have been beneficial for some of our clients, they also spend large amounts themselves on markettibng to ensure they are top of the search engines or appear for sponsored listings.

IT IS NO USE TO BE IN  A DIRECTORY NOBODY CAN FIND!!!!

5. I would like to change my web sites metadata or metatags

This is all possible through our Content Management Systems, these will already be added but we only add what we think will be likely to work, you may know better, the search trends may change over time. No other SEO company should need access to your site files if they ask for this let us know. The only code they should change can be added or edited through your management system and you can very easily do this for your self and save a £300+ bill for what we know other companies have spent 20 mins of work on please see about these seo scams here or contact us for further free advice.

6. I edited my website and it has not updated.

Please press the refresh button in your browser or hit f5 on the keyboard, all web browsers save pages when they first visit to save load time the previous page is showing that is all.

If your site uses flash animation sometimes you may need to clear your temporary internet files so the new file loads - go to Tools menu in your browser and 'clear temporary internet files'.

7. My email is not working

If it has worked previously please contact us DO NOT START TO CHANGE SETTINGS IN YOUR EMAIL PROGRAM ESPECIALLY PASSWORDS!!

If the online webmail works usually this is down to settings on your machine, or if you cannot send mail it may be down to restrictions by your ISP you may need to use their smtp address to send mail out.
